While the stone itself may originate from one country, it is often fabricated in another before reaching its final destination. Venture Stone & Tile primarily works with fabrication partners in the United States, Italy Spain, Turkey, China, and Brazil. These facilities transform raw blocks of stone into finished slabs, tiles, and custom pieces used in our projects around the world.
In many cases, stone may travel across multiple countries during this process. For example, a recent project we quoted featured stone that was quarried in Norway and later fabricated in China before being delivered for installation. This global network allows Venture to offer a wide range of materials while maintaining the quality and consistency required for large architectural projects. Our team works closely with trusted partners worldwide to source exceptional materials for residential and large-scale commercial developments. To better understand the materials we provide, the Venture team has traveled to stone-producing regions around the world. These visits allow us to see the quarrying process firsthand and build relationships with the suppliers and craftsmen who bring these materials to life.
Our team has visited:
- Italy, home to some of the most historic and renowned marble quarries in the world
- Turkey, known for its extensive marble reserves and beautiful natural stones used in projects worldwide
- Colorado, where iconic American marbles such as Colorado Lincoln are quarried from the Rocky Mountains
- Vietnam, home to unique white marble and specialized quarry conditions
- Israel, home to the Jerusalem family of stones
Seeing these locations in person provides a deeper understanding of the stone’s natural formation, extraction methods, and overall quality.
The Journey of Natural Stone
Every piece of natural stone begins deep within the earth, formed over millions of years. Quarrying carefully removes large blocks of stone from these deposits using specialized techniques designed to preserve the integrity of the material.
From there, the blocks are transported to fabrication facilities where they are cut, finished, and prepared for architectural use. Whether it becomes flooring, wall cladding, countertops, or custom design elements, the transformation from raw block to finished product is a highly skilled process.
